Privacy Policy

By Mike Bologna · Updated

We use cookies for analytics and advertising, and we collect an email address if you join the waitlist. This page says exactly what that means, who receives the data, and how to stop it.

It applies to electronicbong.com, including our UK, German and French editions. Last updated 16 July 2026. Plain English throughout — if anything is unclear, email us and a person will answer.

Who we are

This site is operated by Green Lion Innovations ("we", "us"), 1312 17th St #652, Denver, CO 80202, United States. Reach us at mike@greenlioninnovations.com — that address is also how you exercise any right described below.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist

You give us your email address, and optionally your first name and which device you're interested in. Both optional fields exist so we can send you something relevant rather than one generic blast. We use this to email you about launches and early access — nothing else. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. It's instant, permanent, and you don't have to give a reason.

Analytics and advertising

We advertise, so we measure whether the advertising works. When cookies are active we use:

These set cookies and share your IP address, browser details and on-site actions with those providers, who process it under their own policies (Google, Mantis). We never send them your email address.

Worth knowing, since people assume otherwise: this site carries no Facebook or Instagram pixel and no Google Ads tag. Those networks don't accept advertising for this category, so there's nothing here for them to measure.

Where you came from, and where you go

If you arrive from an ad, the link carries campaign tags (utm_source, utm_campaign) and sometimes a click ID. We keep those for your visit and attach them to your waitlist signup, so we know which ad worked. Stored in your browser for the session only.

This site doesn't sell anything — its job is pointing you to brands that do — so we also record which brand link you click. That's the whole measure of whether a page is useful. We record the destination and the page you left from, not who you are.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, page requested — as every web server does. They keep the site running and secure. We don't build profiles from them.

The age gate and your choices

Your browser stores two small values locally: one recording that you confirmed you're 21+, and one recording your cookie choice. Both stay on your device, contain no personal information, and are never sent anywhere. They're strictly functional — without them we'd ask you the same questions on every page.

Your choices — and they differ by where you are

We'd rather be straight about this than pretend otherwise.

In the United States and most of the world

Analytics and advertising cookies load when you arrive. US privacy law works on an opt-out basis, so that's lawful — but you can opt out at any time:

In the UK and the European Economic Area

Nothing non-essential loads until you say yes. You'll get a banner on arrival, and until you choose Accept, no analytics or advertising cookie is set and no tag is loaded. Choose Reject and nothing loads at all. Our UK, German and French editions are always treated this way, whatever your device clock says. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Who handles your email, and why it's worth explaining

We want this stated plainly rather than buried.

The waitlist runs on Klaviyo, an email marketing platform. When you submit the form, your browser sends the details directly to Klaviyo. The Klaviyo account holding that list is operated by Zipline Innovations LLC (dba Dip Devices) — a company affiliated with Green Lion Innovations and run by the same people, though it is a separate legal entity. Green Lion Innovations uses that list to send you the launch email described above.

So plainly: your email sits in Klaviyo's systems, in an account belonging to Zipline Innovations LLC, and Green Lion Innovations uses it to tell you when devices are ready. Neither company uses it for anything else. Klaviyo processes it on our behalf under its own privacy notice and is US-based, so if you're outside the US your details are stored there.

One waitlist, shared with our sister site. Green Lion Innovations runs a single Klaviyo waitlist for both this site and eburndevices.com. If you sign up on either, your email lands in the same list, tagged with which site it came from so we only email you about what you asked about. We're telling you because it means your address may sit alongside sign-ups from our other site — not with any third party.

How long we keep it

Your email stays until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the waitlist is retired, we delete the list rather than repurpose it. Analytics data follows the providers' own retention periods.

Your rights

Wherever you live: ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it. Email mike@greenlioninnovations.com and we'll do it.

If you're in the UK or EEA, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time (withdrawal doesn't undo what we did beforehand). Our basis for the launch emails is your consent, given when you joined; our basis for analytics and advertising cookies is the consent you give on the banner. You can complain to your national data protection authority.

If you're in California, you can know what we collect, request deletion or correction, opt out, and not be treated differently for it. We don't sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA — we honour Global Privacy Control, and the opt-out button above stops it.

Children

This site is for adults 21 and over and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a minor has given us their email, tell us and we'll delete it. See age verification.

When you click through to a brand

When you follow a link to a brand you're on their property under their privacy policy, not this one. Some of those links are affiliate or partner links, disclosed on our legal & disclaimer page. We don't pass them your personal information; if they track you, that's their doing and their policy — worth reading.

Changes

If we start collecting something new, we update this page and its date before we do it. Material changes to how we use your email get emailed to you.

Questions? Email us — a person reads it. See also legal & disclaimer and about.
